City of Nara Japan : Horyuji & Todaiji Buddha
Built in 710 AD, the city of Nara, in Japan, was originally the imperial capital and the seat of many commercial and administrative activities in Japan in the 8th century. In reality, this locality, if it has nothing apparently mysterious about it, is marked by a history in which the myth always succeeds, here and there, in resurfacing. The mysterious temple of Horyuji, for example, is the oldest wooden structure that has survived until today. Then there is the immense structure of Todaiji, where a large bronze statue of Buddha was kept, to which many offerings were devoted: according to tradition, this place was the center of confluence of the positive energies which made it possible to reach interior illumination.
