Does Faith or Spiritual Healing Work ?
More and more people no longer trust traditional medicine and turn more to therapists or faith healers in order to be relieved of their pain. The alternative therapeutic methods are varied and range from the laying on of hands to the use of a pendulum. Many faith healers act at a distance, identify the vibrations of the disease and send healing energies. But where is the border between charlatans and those who do not hesitate to put their particular gift at the service of their contemporaries? Does faith healing work ?
Explain the inexplicable
For years, the sphere of alternative therapies has created surprise by the number of successes obtained: disappearance of tumors, healing of cancers, resorption of paralysis and recovery of patients deemed incurable. Distance healers have to make great efforts to be taken seriously, so they need to use their skills very carefully.
For a long time, traditional medicine has refused to recognize these different forms of therapy or to use them in its field of activity. However, more and more scientists are questioning the success of “other” techniques. They also use infrared cameras, heart rate monitors and complex cellular experiments to find the answer to the question of whether there are healing energies.
Two German healers
Christos Drossinakis, a German of Greek descent, is one of the most famous distance healers in Germany and has been the subject of the most tests worldwide. He seems to be able to disrupt the molecular structure of water several kilometers away. How does he do it? How is he able, by simple concentration, to change a patient's body temperature? How does he manage to calm a person's asthma attack thousands of miles away?
Living in Rhineland-Palatinate, the healer Pjotr Elkunoviz cannot explain how he is able to heal his patients from their disorders. He simply explains that divine power acts through him. A woman with advanced osteoporosis leaves her office relieved of her pain. A simple movement of Pjotr's hand corrects the pelvis offset of another and his legs then find the same length. Thousands of people give thanks to the extraordinary faculties of Pjotr Elkunoviz and feel the effectiveness of his therapeutic methods on a daily basis. A patient describes him as a mixture of God, Sai Baba and Mother Theresa.
Spiritual healers, mediators between the worlds
Traditional medicine considers it quackery, a placebo effect, blind faith. But more and more doctors are turning to these mysterious abilities. Professor Kaspar Rhyner, chief physician of Glarus hospital in Switzerland, even works in collaboration with a spiritual healer. He found that many of his patients who could not be helped by traditional medicine regained health through his care.
Spiritual healing determines all therapeutic methods claiming to rely on the strengths and capacities of the mind. Energy, light and curative current are used in a mysterious way. The origin of this therapeutic source would not be the spiritual healer in itself, which would only be a “vector” between the worlds, but would reside in the divine or universal cosmic. The healer would then be the channel that allows to structure and concentrate the energy flows. This diagram would explain healings across distances. In addition, each recovery seems to be accompanied by an evolution of the soul of the person being treated. Indeed, therapists generally explain their action to their patients with these words: "It was not me, but your faith that healed you."
